The dream day...
Last week I had the pleasure of photographing this stunning grad session. When Hailey and I were brainstorming about ideas, locations, a shot list, and props I was over the moon excited to find out that her childhood pet would be making an appearance! There is something Hailey and I share in common and unlike other kids, their childhood pet may have been a special cat, dog, bunny or even fish. But not Hailey, she brought along her furry equine friend! Equine photography is something I am very passionate about. The beauty, power and elegance these creatures have is what draws me so strongly to them. Then, add in a stunning girl in a ball gown and what more could I ask for!
Despite the freezing winds and climbing over fallen trees, Hailey was a trooper and made this chilly session so much fun. Her beautiful pastel blue dress fell exactly into place with the cool winter tones and mood, but still having the sunshine to create the perfect glow we were looking for. We added in many aspects to this session, she to show her childhood in the old school house setting, then having the pleasure of her escort to accompany us showing the grown up side of Hailey.
Congratulations on your graduation Hailey, I am excited to hear about all the stories and friendships you make at Red Deer College in the fall.
