I would like to congradulate the Foster family on welcoming a new baby girl into their family, on Thursday we did a newborn session and I was so excited to get back into newborn work after a long unfortunate break.
My most recent newborn session was for a former co-worker. Eric and I worked together for two summers in the oil industry while i was going to school. When I approached him asking if he and Kailee would like to have me capture their baby girl Elise's first few days into this world more for practice than anything they excitedly said yes!
My most favourite part of this session was when Kailee asked me what I thought about incorporating her grandmother Elise's sweater into the session in some way. And I was able to use the precious white cable knit sweaters in a few different shots, one as a layering piece in one of the newborn posed shots and the other Kailee put on the sweater and we just knew and all had a feeling that Grandma Elise was watching over us in that moment.
